Reading Calendars - Students are given a reading calendar at the beginning of each month to take home and record the time they spend reading each night. Students should be reading 30 minutes a night at least 5 days a week. At the end of the month reading calendars are due and put on their reading grades.
Book 1 and Book 2 - Students are required to read 2 novels a quarter. When they complete a book, they are to take an accelerated reading quiz (AR Quiz) on the computer to test their comprehension of the book. Novels should be on their grade grade level so the most learning and enjoyment occurs.
